Understanding The Symptoms of Anxiety

Are you unsure of whether the symptoms you’re experiencing are actual symptoms of anxiety?  If you think you’re possibly suffering from anxiety and have persistent feelings of what other people might consider “irrational fear” or elevated stress, chances are that you may be suffering from some form of anxiety disorder.  Hopefully this article will help you make a better determination as to whether or not you actually are experiencing symptoms of anxiety or another disorder or medical condition.

Understanding the symptoms of anxiety will give you the clarity to make a more informed decision and will allow you to take control of the situation in a way that will facilitate a better solution to your current situation.

It will also help you avoid the stress and added anxiety of not being sure of what the problem is.  Often not knowing what is happening to you is just as frightening as the anxiety itself.

By informing yourself properly about what constitutes genuine anxiety and panic attacks as apposed to some other condition, will also reduce the stress felt by those around you as they’ll feel better knowing that you are taking charge and are not completely helpless.  Being able to explain what you’re going through will at least give them a clearer picture of what might be expected of them in an emergency without it having to come as a shock or surprise.

Preparing Others For The Symptoms of Anxiety

Part of coming to grips with symptoms of anxiety is ensuring that we don’t place any unnecessary burdens on those around us without at least giving them a clear understanding of the problem.  There’s nothing worse than having someone in total shock over seeing you having a panic attack, trying to help – they just don’t know what to do and could even do more harm than good – it’s definitely not fair on them.

Imagine how much calmer and more confident you’ll feel knowing exactly what symptoms of anxiety you’re experiencing. Even being able to control your reactions better as a result of not getting sucked into the anxiety attack is something to aim for.  This is the real key to managing anxiety properly.

Having an anxiety disorder and especially experiencing an anxiety attack is no walk in the park.  If you’ve ever experienced feelings of extreme fear and even believed that you were having a heart attack, you’ll know what I mean.  You don’t want to keep having these episodes without at least understanding the symptoms of anxiety better and knowing what to do when they do happen.

Anxiety symptoms usually take on two forms and are commonly described and defined as follows:

Emotional Symptoms of Anxiety

•    Feelings of apprehension or dread
•    Trouble concentrating
•    Feeling tense and jumpy
•    Anticipating the worst
•    Irritability
•    Restlessness
•    Watching for signs of danger
•    Feeling like your mind’s gone blank

Physical Symptoms of Anxiety

•    Pounding heart
•    Sweating
•    Stomach upset or dizziness
•    Frequent urination or diarrhea
•    Shortness of breath
•    Tremors and twitches
•    Muscle tension
•    Headaches
•    Fatigue
•    Insomnia

Anxiety is actually a normal occurrence and part of our body’s defense mechanism.  During dangerous situations symptoms of anxiety are simply the result of our brain kicking into problem solving mode and releasing adrenaline into our system in anticipation of the need for “fight or flight”.

Where anxiety begins to cross the line from being a healthy part of our make up and becoming a disorder is when symptoms of anxiety start occurring on a frequent and ongoing basis.

Often our feelings of anxiety have been conditioned by prior traumatic events which our conscious mind may not even remember and when certain environmental events are present, our sub-conscious is triggered into responding to what it perceives to be a dangerous situation.

The fact that you may be experiencing physical symptoms such as those listed above, makes it that much more difficult to accept that there is no actual threat of harm present and so the symptoms of anxiety persist.

Getting Past The Symptoms of Anxiety

The key to stopping and even curing your anxiety lies is the ability to objectively analyze the feelings you’ve been experiencing and discover their origins in your past.  The most common cause of anxiety or panic attacks is the fear of a repeat attack.  So those who have already suffered an anxiety attack are more prone to having more of them.

As you can imagine, this is a repeating pattern and a subconscious habit which is formed within the mind that keeps fueling itself.  The saying goes; “there is nothing to fear, but fear itself” – while some might consider this saying to be trite, understanding the truth behind it will go a long way to helping you find the solution to your anxiety.

There are numerous treatment programs specifically designed to help anxiety sufferers get to grips with the symptoms of anxiety and even regain sufficient control to live a normal and stress free life again.

While a number of medications also exist, these usually only mask the symptoms and provide temporary relief.  Stop taking the pills, and your anxiety keeps coming back.

Having suffered with generalized anxiety for many years myself, I can say that I’ve tried pretty much everything under the sun and while I did get some benefit from counseling programs and some temporary relief with certain medications, the solution that finally helped me cure my anxiety was a very simple, yet powerful program called “Panic Away” – you can read more about how it helped me here.

I don’t know about you, but after having tried so many different ‘solutions’ and treatments, I was definitely ready to try something that offered a more permanent solution to the problem.  Besides I was tired of throwing endless streams of money at this thing and started feeling the pinch, so it just made sense on every level.

A lot of people have asked me how I was able to overcome the problem of relapsing and keeping up with the treatment program, because as with anything in life, overcoming your anxiety does take some effort.

Truth be told, while I didn’t expect much from the program, I really didn’t find it all that difficult or even time consuming to apply (unlike those hundreds of hours of laborious counseling).

The Panic Away program is founded on a very simple principle which is to help you avoid the fear of having another panic attack.  As I mentioned earlier, this is the primary cause of most people’s panic attacks.

Once apply the “one move technique” a few times, you’ll know what I’m talking about, it’s deceptively powerful in it’s simplicity, which is more than can be said for most things that claim to be simple these days.

If you have determined that you do have symptoms of anxiety disorder or have been formally diagnosed by your doctor, I highly recommend trying whatever treatment they prescribe – who knows, maybe it’ll work for you.

For me, the real gauge was asking my wife on a regular basis whether she was seeing any difference or results with whatever treatment I was on.  For the first few years, her feedback wasn’t very positive or reassuring and I couldn’t really feel a difference either.

Considering that we generally create our own anxiety (subconsciously and unintentionally), it stands to reason that the optimal solution would involve some form of self help therapy.  Panic Away was that for me.

One of the major benefits of the program was that I could literally use it anywhere and the results were almost instantaneous.  I can’t imagine my therapist being available at the exact moment I was having an attack, and no pill I ever took had the benefit of kicking in immediately.

So to say I was impressed is definitely an understatement.

If you suffer from generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder or even OCD, I’m sure you would get some great benefits from using the Panic Away system.  It really gets to the root of the matter quickly and becomes a great habit in no time at all.

No pills to take (or forget to take) and no ongoing prescriptions or bills for ongoing treatment.  Can’t beat that really.

Obviously if you have a more severe condition, maybe something stemming from post traumatic stress or similar situations, the Panic Away program may not be as effective for you.  However, considering that it literally has no harmful side effects, I would still try it out – worst case scenario is it doesn’t work and you can get a full refund (when last did you get a refund from a doctor or pharmacist who’s treatment didn’t work?).

Don’t let this disorder take away precious years of your life, it’s short enough as it is.  Give Panic Away a try… I’m sure you’ll thank me later ;-)

Panic Away Review – Does Panic Away Work ?

Monday, November 30th, 2009

My Critical, No Holds Barred Panic Away Review

If you have been living with anxiety attacks for any length of time, then you’ve probably been prescribed countless different forms of medication and pills to take. The truth  is you can put a complete stop to your panic and anxiety attacks without the help of drugs. According to their website, Panic Away has developed a completely natural and fast-working approach to curing anxiety that will help you eliminate 100% of generalized anxiety disorder  and panic attacks.  If you’re asking yourself: “does Panic Away really work?” , here is my comprehensive Panic Away review.

I was originally very skeptical of this claim especially since the program was only available online and not through a local center or organization.  If you’ve had anxiety or panic attacks for a great deal of time, like me, you’re probably not going to take claims of effectiveness at face value, regardless of whether the program is promoted online or via a recognized local institution.  However, Panic Away claimed to have a simple technique that could restore my life back to the anxiety-free person I used to be. The website claimed that I could cure my panic attacks, every day anxiety and any other panic related conditions I might be suffering from, all without the use of any medication whatsoever.

A pretty bold claim indeed, considering that at the time I had tried just about everything from counseling, to drugs, to a smorgasbord of new-age therapies, mostly with limited success.  I was intrigued though… you know what I mean, right?  When you’re in the grips of this disorder, you feel like you’ll try just about anything that offers a sliver of hope and freedom.

The good news is – It Actually Worked!! Nobody was more surprised than me (as an ex-cop, my “bullshit radar” is permanently switched on;-)

Now, although I fully endorse the Panic Away program, I always encourage anyone to do some proper due diligence before signing up for any program (I’m not a doctor and don’t for one second believe that this program will be effective 100% of the time for everyone who tries it – for specific advice about your particular situation, please see your doctor first).

Having said that, let me share with you the questions I asked about the Panic Away program that resulted in my deciding to go ahead with the purchase.  If you ask yourself these questions every time you decide to evaluate an anxiety cure / treatment program, you should be able to make a well balanced decision for yourself.  Here are the 10 criteria I applied before deciding to purchase and use this program (you can see how I rated Panic Away after having used it below [See the star ratings at the bottom of the page]).

The Critical Panic Away Review

My 10 Question Rule:

1) Does it do what it claims to do? (I read through a bunch of different websites and forums to get a take on what others were saying about the program and while there will always be the odd whiner – mostly good things were said by the vast majority of people who tried it) – CHECK

2) Is it easy to use or apply? (would I need to spend hours and days doing exercises and mantras that just traded one type of unproductive behavior for another? – By all accounts, it seemed like this was not the case [the Panic Away system is amazingly fast and simple to apply - it takes a little time to get into the swing of it, but the results are exponentially rewarding]) – CHECK

3) Does it deliver results quickly? (OK, curing anxiety isn’t exactly like ordering pizza, but I wanted to know that after years of trial and error that I wasn’t setting myself up for another few years of frustration without meaningful results.  According to my research, the amount of time required to see results varied from person to person, understandably, since the severity of the condition differs too.  Having lived with anxiety for close to 12 years, the 2 months it took to get to a place of absolute calm and control over my condition was more like hitting the jackpot!  It ain’t no magic wand people, you’ll have to work it, but fortunately you won’t break a sweat and it’s absolutely worth every second of time you invest ;-)CHECK

4) Is it a comprehensive solution or will I have to go out and buy a bunch of other gizmos and doodads to make it work? Don’t you just hate it when they offer you a solution to your problem and then tell you that you’ll also need to get the extra super training wheels, the whizbangs and 15 more odds and ends to see optimal results?  Well thankfully, the Panic Away system is the exception here.  Because the program is specifically focused on helping you overcome the major causes of anxiety attacks quickly, there really isn’t a whole lot more required – it’s simplicity and effectiveness at it’s best.  No frills, just results.  – CHECK

5) What if it doesn’t work? Ooh yeah! Don’t hold any punches when buying stuff on the internet – there are just way too many sites out there promoting scams.  What I wanted to know before ordering was whether I could get a prompt refund if this thing didn’t work (No ifs, ands or buts) – the end!  I’ve been scammed a couple of times online and I tell you, there’s nothing more frustrating for an anxiety sufferer than spending good money on something that turns out to be a dud, only to find out later that there’s no guarantee or refund policy.  Or worse yet, discovering that the company’s refund policy was just marketing hype with no follow-through.  This one was a biggie for me, and when I found out that Panic Away’s payment processing is handled by ClickBank, I immediately relaxed, knowing from experience that ClickBank has built it’s reputation on it’s 60 day no questions money back guarantee.  If for any reason I wasn’t happy with the program, I knew that my investment was safe and that if I wanted a refund within the first 60 days, I would have been able to get it within 2 business days – no jumping through hoops, just a quick email and it’s done.  It doesn’t get any better than that.  – CHECK

6) Is there good customer support? Logically you’ll want to be sure that if you have any questions about the program, that you can reach out and contact someone.  Far too often these websites have no contact info and leave you endlessly struggling with a convoluted support desk system or auto responder systems with zero human contact.  Panic Away clearly publishes their address on the website as well as an email address and support phone number should you need to get in touch with someone.  I actually never made use of any of the contact channels since the system was so dead simple to understand and apply.  It was good to know that it was there if I needed it though.  – CHECK

7) Can I afford it? Obviously this question is completely relative and dependant on your personal situation.  If you have very mild anxiety and feel that you would rather wait until it escalates to full blown attacks before doing something about it, then maybe the $67 price tag might make you think twice.  If like me on the other hand, you have been trying to rid yourself of this beast for a good length of time, you will no doubt already have thrown away at least a few hundred or even thousands of dollars on pills, treatments and counseling.  If that is the case, rest assured, this may just be the best and final investment you’ll need to make in that area.  It was for me. – CHECK

8) Does the program have proven results? It may seem like an obvious question which is why I left it here, near the end of the list, but just in case you obviously want to check out any testimonials and maybe even ask the company for references in the even they don’t have any testimonials displayed on their website, or if the testimonials seem manipulated or contrived in any way.  Obviously this is not exactly an exact barrometer and will always be subject to some manipulation by marketers, but if your BS detector is switched on, you should be able to tell a fake testimonial from a real one, just by the way it’s written (look for little idiosynchracies that the average marketer wouldn’t necessarily think of including.  Heck you don’t need to go “CSI” on this thing (especially if you’re confident about the refund policy).  This step is just designed to ensure you don’t waste your time and energy on a potential dud, only to have to ask for the refund in the end.  Panic Away’s testimonials certainly looked genuine enough to me, considering the content and the sound of some of the audio testimonials – some stuff you just can’t fake. – CHECK

9) Do I really need this to cure my anxiety attacks? Well, once again, this question is dependant on your particular situation.  If you’re content with the way things are, you might not feel the urgency, just yet.  However if you’re on the verge of having another attack right now, you’ll definitely want to give it a try, since you have no risk other than the time investment (believe me, the “One Move” technique alone is worth the cost of this program ten times over).  – CHECK

10) Is it safe and does the company have a good reputation? We’re downloading something from the internet here so there’s always a concern that something could go wrong and “what about identity theft and phishing” etc.  Well, yes those things are certainly very real and they do exist, so it’s always good to make sure that the company’s website makes use of encrypted payment processing and has a valid security certificate to ensure against these problems.  Because Panic Away’s payment processing is done through ClickBank, once again I was confident that my transaction and personal information was 100% safe. – CHECK

So as you can see, during my Panic Away review, this program passed my criteria with flying colors and the fact that I am living virtually anxiety free today is in large part my best endorsement for this program.  I realize that perhaps you have already checked out their website and maybe you were a little skeptical about whether or not all the marketing was just hype, which is why I put up this blog in the first place.  To give you a real person to connect with and ask questions if you like.  I hope that this Panic Away review has been helpful to you.

If you haven’t seen the Panic Away program’s website yet, just CLICK HERE to check it out for yourself.  I hope it helps you as much as it has me, my family and thousands of others around the world.

P.S. Below you’ll see the exact score I’ve given the Panic Away program based on my above criteria, just so you have a more visual representation of the score, in case you’re still undecided.  Although you really shouldn’t be at this stage ;-)

Although you may be wondering whether it is necessary to follow some extensive program, it is safe to say you can handle any stresses simply by reading basic information.

In order to properly use the technique by Panic Away, you need to learn to break the fear of having another panic attack. Until the day comes that you do not worry about when your next one will occur, you will never have complete freedom from this problem.

The sole answer to how you can treat your problem is to stop fearing when your next attack is going to happen.
